Deputy General Counsel, Visa Europe

Prini’s remit at Visa in Europe includes all aspects of corporate and commercial law, technology sourcing and outsourcing and corporate governance. She also takes an active role in managing Visa Europe’s relationship with its regulators, particularly the Bank of England and the Payment Systems Regulator. Prini is a member of the Visa Europe Pensions Trustee Board.
Prior to joining Visa, Prini was the Head of Legal for Group Operations at Lloyds Banking Group where she led a team of lawyers who advised Lloyds Banking and insurance business on payments, sourcing, outsourcing and information security law issues. Prini also led the commercial legal advice to the separation of TSB from the rest of the Lloyds Group, which was mandated by the European Competition Authority.

After graduating from the London School of Economics, Prini trained as a solicitor in the Lincolns Inn firm, Payne Hicks Beach where she qualified into the corporate commercial department and advised on the £189 million sale of LOOT in 2000. Prini joined Barlow Lyde & Gilbert as a senior associate in the Technology and Sourcing Team in 2001 where she advised on a wide variety of IT and outsourcing contracts and spent a number of years on secondment to the in-house legal departments of the mobile phone company, 3 and RBS Insurance Group.
Prini is a member of the Executive Committee of Women in Business at Visa Europe and joined the judging panel for the Asian Women of Achievement Awards in 2017. Prini also mentors a number of talented individuals working in the legal profession.
