Charlotte Neal

Director for Surveying Standards, RICS

Charlotte is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who has been working within real estate for over 20 years. She has recently joined RICS as Director for Surveying Standards.

She qualified whilst working at Gerald Eve and her career has included working for global property advisory firms, CBRE and Savills, before being recruited by PwC to advise on all real estate matters.

She has extensive experience in providing advice on large commercial and residential property transactions and strategic advice across the whole sector including investment and development assets. She has been responsible for valuing and advising in relation to large residential led mixed use development schemes.

She has served a broad range of clients in the private sector, including developers, house builders, banks and corporate clients, demonstrating value enhancement and mitigating risk in adverse, time constrained situations, across a range of asset classes. These have included residential, office, retail, in particular shopping centre investments and developments, amongst others. Her successful interventions in insolvency and restructuring situations, including the liquidation of Carillion Plc, have resulted in a reputation for acting with integrity, whilst significantly enhancing recoveries for key stakeholders.

Charlotte leads the RICS standards and professional practice programme within the key areas of surveying practice. The focus of her work remains maintaining trusted RICS standards and supporting the profession to be the best it can through related professional development and support.
