Margaret McDonagh

Co-Founder, The Pipeline

Baroness McDonagh co-founded The Pipeline a unique organisation that works with both employers and individual women to increase gender diversity at the most senior levels of organisations. Margaret has had a successful business career and is an experienced FTSE 100 Non-Executive Director.  She actively supports a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations including serving as Trustee of the AFC Wimbledon Foundation and is Chairperson of the Orthopaedic Research & Education Fund.

Margaret’s background is political. She is a member of the House of Lords and was one of the small team that turned around The Labour Party to make it electable in the 1990s. Margaret was the first woman and youngest ever General Secretary of the Labour Party, the organisation’s Chief Executive, and was responsible for organising both of Labour’s watershed General Election victories in 1997 and 2001.
